Jeff Brown
Director | Marketing Mentor
Jeff Brown -The Photographers Mentor and founder of Focus on Marketing (Est 2008). Began his photography career in the Royal Navy as a military photographer, going on to establish five highly successful photography businesses of his own, in Weddings, Schools, Boudoir, Commercial and later Photography Business Mentoring.
Now working with photographers in over 20 countries worldwide, Jeff is also a best-selling photography business author, having three photography books under his belt.
Jeff is an Ambassador for The British Photography Awards, Studio Ninja, Shutter App, and the Societies of Photographers.
Having earned his Licentiate with the British Institute of Professional Photographers and the Societies of Photographers, he now devotes his time to mentoring photographers in marketing, branding and the business elements of photography.
Other than photography Jeff’s major passions are travel and the outdoors. He loves to visit unusual places, having visited North Korea and Chernobyl to name a few. Jeff loves hiking and mountain climbing with his Springer Spaniel Charlie.
Julie Oswin
Director | Designer, Web Developer
Julie Oswin – Creative Design Agency UK is an adept artist and creator, she was a professional photographer for more than 25 years, a photography trainer and mentor. Her flair for design earned her a position in 2014 as the Creator, Designer and Editor of Creative Light, the official magazine of the Guild of Photographers.
Not only is Julie the Visual Designer for The Photographers Suite she’s an extremely talented photographer too, being the fourth woman to be awarded a Fellowship in Wedding Photography by the BIPP in 2013, as well as receiving a Master Craftsman by the Guild of Photographers and her Fellowship by the SWPP in 2017.
Together with Jeff Brown, Julie is the Co-Founder of The Photographers Suite, she brings the show stopping visual elements of our Scroll-to-a-Sale layouts to life, and gives every website that premium edge that photographers need to really standout. Julie is a full-stack developer so not only does she design all visual aspects of the websites, she also works on developing the backend of the websites, coding as well as maintenance to make sure the websites are always working effectively and efficiently, not just looking good.
Julie enjoys walking, especially with her family and her dogs, exploring all that the beautiful county of Northumberland has to offer.
Sarah Mann
Web Developer, SEO & Technical Support
Sarah Mann Photography – A successful portrait photographer Sarah works predominantly with schools but also captures families, creating fun, relaxed and heartfelt photographs.
Sarah brings her excellent IT skills to The Photographers’ Suite, having single-handedly built our support app. Sarah enjoys learning how to make systems work more effectively and efficiently in her role as web developer.
Sarah also heads up our tech support and makes sure every website is running as quickly as it should, is optimised correctly, and looking good across all devices.
When she’s not shooting portraits or working on websites, Sarah loves to spend time with her family in the beautiful Peak District National Park, where she enjoys fun walks with her boys, as well as taking landscapes.
Claire Bignall
Creative Copywriter & Text Editor
Claire is the founder of Zephyr Creative Copy (Est 2017). Coming from a marketing background Claire has over 25 years of experience in creative copywriting, producing written content that builds desire, gets your readers to take action and ultimately leads to more sales.
Unlike most copywriters, Claire has found her niche and that niche is working with photographers. She understands our creative way of thinking and knows that for most photographers copywriting doesn’t come easily. Not only is she a wizard with words, but she also understands SEO and the importance of writing content that gets found easily online.
Claire offers a bespoke copywriting service for The Photographers Suite clients, including 1-2-1 training as well as a complete done-for-you service. When she’s not writing Claire loves to get outdoors with her four-legged friend Buddy and has a passion for taking pictures.
